Hey guys! I decided to make another Stacking The Shelves post, to show you the books I've been getting these past few months (I'm sure there are a few missing, but oh well).
Stacking the Shelves is a meme made by Team Tynga’s Reviews, this is the description:
Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!
If you want to find out more about Stacking The Shelves, please visit the official launch page! (http://www.tyngasreviews.com/2012/05/staking-shelves-official-launch.html)
But first I must tell you that, from now on, it'll be really difficult for me to get new books, I actually got most of these for free on Amazon. Why? I live in Venezuela, the inflation and the exchange control here are a real mess, so libraries are pretty empty right now and, whatever they're selling, is so expensive that I'm not able to buy even one book. And getting eBooks isn't much easier, with this exchange control we can't really get our hands on dollars or any other currency very easily. And let me tell you, for us just ONE dollar is A LOT of money... You must now think I live in the jungle.
So now I'll depend mostly on NetGalley (just recently joined Edelweiss too), books I get from authors/publishers and freebies from Amazon and any other website like that.
But enough with the sad stories, let me just show you the goodies :)

ReplyDeleteThanks! Haha yess!! :D
DeleteA shame about it being so hard to buy books but you still did manage to get a lot of wonderful ones here. I am excited to ACOTAR and some of the others you have mentioned here at some point! I did read Insanity but I couldn't like it. I didn't really like the original Alice in Wonderland classic as well though, so that is probably the main reason why. However, I do hope you enjoy all these reads <3
ReplyDeleteYes, it's really awful, and it doesn't just apply to books, but pretty much everything :(
DeleteI'm very excited about ACOTAR, I hope it's as good as people are saying :) It's a shame you didn't enjoy Insanity, I actually LOVE Alice in Wonderland and everything related to it haha this book cover actually reminds me of a game called Madness Returns, also about Alice and it's one of my favorites! <3
Thank you so much for your comment!! ^-^
Carla what a fantastic haul! The Hex Hall series is a fun read and ACOTAR was also fantastic. Haven't read Attachments but I do love Rainbow Rowell's Eleanor & Park and have recently added Landline, Fangirl and Carry On to my library so looking forward to those!
ReplyDeleteI'm also in the middle of Queen of Someday which is an awesome books but to be reviewed books have been getting in the way but I can't wait to return to QOS as it is a great novel :)
Enjoy your reads :D
Thank you! :D I'm really glad you enjoyed those!
DeleteThere are so many people praising Rainbow Rowell, I've been wanting to read her books for so long!! I'm really excited about reading Attachments :D
Queen of Someday was on my TBR list and I was actually lucky enough to find it for free on Amazon! ^-^ It's great to know you've been liking it!

ReplyDeleteThat being said, I hope you love Hex Hall and Scarlet. They're amazing! XD

DeleteThat's a lot of books. I enjoyed the Hex Hall Series. I was disappointed in ACoTaR. I will still read the next because...it's MAAS! But I didn't love it like ToG. I want to read My Life with the Walter Boys. And I love Ficklin's Stolen Empire series. Enjoy your books and thanks for stopping by my blog!
