Sunshine Blogger Award + Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award

Hey guys! I was recently nominated by these lovely ladies: Miranda from Miranda's Book Blog and Jess from Little Book Heaven for the Sunshine Blogger Award. They're both amazing book bloggers, you must definitely check out their blogs, they're awesome :) Thank you so much to you both for the nomination! ^-^

"The idea of the Sunshine Award is that you nominate bloggers who put a little sunshine in your day, who are positive, creative and inspiring."

Rules:
- Answer the 11 questions from the blogger who nominated you.
- Nominate some wonderful bloggers and write 11 questions for them to answer.

Ok ok, first of all I want to say that this is the cutest award ever, I mean, just read that description! That's adorable!... Also: prepare to meet one of the most indecisive people ever!! I can't just choose one answer for most of these :'(

Miranda's Questions

1. If you could meet any fictional character in real life who would it be?
Hmm I'd really like to meet Hermione Granger, I think we would get along pretty well!

2. What is your favorite genre?
Oh man, so many! I'm really into Young Adult, Fantasy, Historical Fiction, Paranormal, Contemporary... I think I'm going to choose Young Adult for now haha :)

3. What inspired you to blog?
I really wanted to share my thoughts and opinions. I'm not much of a talker, so writing is definitely something I've been really enjoying, especially since we can reach out to more people by blogging :)

4. What is your favorite book quote?
Ok, there are SO many! But here is one:
"You are mistaken, Mr. Darcy, if you suppose that the mode of your declaration affected me in any other way, than as it spared me the concern which I might have felt in refusing you, had you behaved in a more gentleman-like manner." - Elizabeth Bennet (Pride and Prejudice)
BURRRRNNNN (Just kidding, Darcy. Love ya).

5. Which movie would you like to see as a book? (Isn't already a book)
I know just the one!! :D It's not really a movie, but a mini series: Lost in Austen. I remember that after I finished watching it I really wanted to read the book... but it does not exist! D':

There's actually a book called Lost in Austen, but it's got nothing to do with the show.

Файл:Lost in Austen.jpg

Amanda, an ardent Jane Austen fan, lives in present day London with her boyfriend Michael, until she finds she's swapped places with Austen's fictional creation Elizabeth Bennet (taken from imdb).

6. You find out supernatural creatures are real, which one do you choose as your allies?
- Mermaids, especially if they let me become one of them.
- Dragons, and I should be able to fly on their backs.
- Vampires, because they're pretty cool. I'd also like to be one, please.

Oh my God! I'd so be a vampire mermaid!! ♥♥

Uhm, can I still add unicorns to this list?

7. What book has been your favorite so far in 2015?
Hmm I guess I'll list all the books I've given 5 stars so far this year:

1850968311235712124255322289142226081442

- Some Boys by Patty Blount
- Cinder by Marissa Meyer
- Of Poseidon by Anna Banks
- What to Do with a Duke by Sally MacKenzie
- The Earl's New Bride by Frances Fowlkes

You can go to my review of every book if you click on the title :)

8. Who is your absolute favorite author?
Oh man, this one's tough! I don't think I've read every single book an author has written, but I've read a lot of Jane Austen (and she wrote Pride and Prejudice, which means: goddess) and I also really like Julie Kagawa. But yeah, apparently I don't exactly have a favorite author.

9. Favorite series?
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3.Harry_Potter_and_the_Sorcerer_s_Stone?ac=1https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6644117-the-iron-king?ac=1https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/10964.Outlander?ac=1

- Harry Potter by J. K. Rowling
- The Iron Fey by Julie Kagawa
- Outlander by Diana Gabaldon (haven't read all the books that have been published, but I've LOVED the ones I've read)

10. How many unread books do you have on your shelf?
- Ebooks: 136 (omg what?!)
- Physical: ca. 33

11. Fantasy or Paranormal?
I love both, but I'll have to choose Fantasy.

Jess' Questions

1. Favorite time and place to read?
At night, in my bed.

2. What makes a day perfect for you?
No stress at all! And I think I'd really enjoy a day where I get to do all the things I love: reading, drawing, playing video games and eating great food

3. When buying books, do you prefer going to the bookstore or ordering online?
My country is going through a lot right now, the inflation has gone up to the roof and we have exchange control, so going to the bookstore is not the same as it used to be, they're pretty much empty, and all the books they have there are so expensive that I wouldn't be able to pay for them.

Ordering online, with the exchange control, is also something I can't really do anymore, so God bless ebooks, NetGalley, Amazon freebies and authors/publishers who give away books for reviews.

But if my country wasn't going through all this, I think I'd choose going to the bookstore! :)

4. What is the most current book you're reading? How do you like it so far?
25205323
I just started reading Lord Fenton's Folly by Josi S. Kilpack and I've been enjoying it a lot!

5. Reading inside or outside?
I'd really love to say outside, but my country is pretty dangerous and I'd like to keep my Kindle, so I'll say inside. But definitely outside if I'm able, at a park or something

6. What is you favorite genre? Least favorite? Why?
- Favorites: Young Adult, Fantasy, Historical Fiction, Paranormal, Contemporary. Because they're all awesome!
- Least Favorites: Non-Fiction, Memoirs, Political, Drama, Suspense, Thriller. I just don't like them, they're pretty boring to me.

7. Do you ever lean books out to friends?
Yes, I don't really mind lending books out to friends, as long as they take really good care of them.

8. Most recent blog post? What was it about?
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/25606057-lady-of-the-imperial-city?ac=1

9. What do you use to blog?
My dear old laptop I love, a blue Dell Inspiron 1545.

10. Most anticipated book?
Wow, I can't really think of one right now, I feel so lame :'(

11. Would you rather have 1 book for an 18 hour flight, or an e-reader with numerous books on it, but only 5% battery?
Oh God this is torture!! D': I guess I'd choose the one book, at least I'd have something to read for a longer period of time, it'd have to be a long one though.

I was also nominated by Jess for the Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award, so thanks for this too, Jess! ^-^

Rules:
1. Thank the blogger who nominated you and link back to their blog.
2. Use the award logo in your post.
3. Answer the 10 questions provided by the blogger who tagged you.
4. Nominate 10 bloggers.
5. Ask them 10 questions.

1. What is the saddest book you have ever read?
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/10917.My_Sister_s_Keeper?ac=1

I don't really like sad books, but I did read My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult, and I couldn't stop crying when I finished it, because the ending is just... wow. I then watched the movie when it came out and they changed the ending!! :'(

I also remember watching a Japanese drama called One Liter of Tears, based on a true story and IT MADE ME CRY LIKE A BABY OMG. It's about a girl with an incurable degenerative disease and she actually kept a diary in real life where she'd write about her struggles and I read some of it... Again, I cried so much...

Oh man, oh man, oh man, I feel like crying just by thinking about it T.T help.

2. What do you enjoy best about blogging?
Sharing my feelings/opinions and getting to know amazing people! :)

3. If you could have one super power, what would it be?
Telekinesis! :D Oh boy, I'd have so much fun! And I'd love to get back at bad drivers (yes, this is a dream of mine, most Venezuelans are AWFUL drivers and I HATE IT)... Driving is dangerous for fuck's sake. Drive well!!!!

4. If you were stranded on an island and could only take three items with you. What would those items be?
I'd take my Kindle (with unlimited books and battery), my laptop (with unlimited battery and WiFi) and lip balm (yes, laugh if you will).

And yes, I totally cheated here :) talk about impossible things.

5. What is your favorite hobby?
Reading, drawing and playing video games! :D

6. What is your favorite all time movie?
Nooo, how can I choose just one?! D': Ok, here goes another list:
- Disney Classics
- Pixar movies
- Tim Burton movies, especially Sweeney Todd
- Mamma Mia!
- Bridget Jones 1 & 2
- Legally Blonde 1 & 2
- Pride and Prejudice

And I bet I'm forgetting A LOT of other movies.

7. If you could be part of a story, what would you choose?
I'd love to live in a world similar to the ones in Final Fantasy games or the Atelier (Arland series) games. So freaking pretty and entertaining and awesome!!!

8. Where is your favorite place to read?
My bed :D

9. What is your favorite kind of animal?
Sea animals!! I love dolphins... I kinda like sharks, too. Although I also love fluffy animals, like pandas :3 I just adore how clumsy they are when they're babies... I like dogs and cats, too...

10. What is your favorite series?
Miranda also asked this question, so I'll do a copy and paste haha :)

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3.Harry_Potter_and_the_Sorcerer_s_Stone?ac=1https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6644117-the-iron-king?ac=1https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/10964.Outlander?ac=1

Harry Potter by J. K. Rowling
The Iron Fey by Julie Kagawa
Outlander by Diana Gabaldon (haven't read all the books that have been published, but I've LOVED the ones I've read)

I'm doing the two awards in one, so the same questions should apply to both of them and I'll nominate people for both of them also. Forgive my lazy butt :)
