Buttercup Hickleberry is a mischievous, devil may care, pixie from Brandydook Kingdom. Much to her astonishment and dismay, she is selected to be Prince Morgan's bride. In fear of losing her independence, she escapes to the land of humans where adventure and terror lurk at every turn. While Buttercup battles deadly spiders and gigantic birds, along with unexpected twists and dilemmas, Brandydook and all the pixies are catapulted into terrible danger and only she holds the key to its survival. Prince Morgan must find Buttercup and return her to his homeland before it's too late.

**I received a free copy from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review**

Buttercup is a clumsy and adventurous pixie. While all the other girls in Brandydook are excited about the upcoming ball, where the prince will choose his future bride, Buttercup is hoping that he won't like her, so that she doesn't become the next princess and has to lead a boring life in the castle.

But alas, fate can be so cruel. The prince picks Buttercup to be his bride and there's no time to waste when making everything ready for the wedding, which has to take place before his upcoming birthday.

Just before the wedding, Buttercup decides to run away, since she's always dreamed about having adventures outside of Brandydook, and that won't be possible after becoming the new princess. But Buttercup didn't know all the dangers that awaited her, and what her departure would mean to Brandydook.

This is a very cute, fast paced story. Poor Buttercup can't seem stay out of trouble, but she still has luck on her side. I really liked how adventurous she was, and so brave too. She thinks the prince might be a bully, and I have to admit I also thought so at first, but turns out he's not as immature as he used to be. He's quite a nice guy.

There's also a little human girl in the story called Wendy, and man is she mean! I think that, if someone is mean to a dog, then they're just really bad people. I hope her little dog Bruno finds a nicer family to live with, the poor guy :(

This is the first book in a series, I didn't know that until I finished it, which is quite nice, I would love to read more about cute, little Buttercup.

Definitely something I would've enjoyed reading during elementary school, made me feel like a child again :)

Thank you for reading! Bye-Bye!
