Monthly Favorites (April 2015)

So these are some of the things I've been liking this last month.

Music

Mamma Mia! Soundtrack
I love this movie with all my heart. I've been catching it a lot on TV lately, so I've got the soundtrack on repeat all the time :)

Taylor Swift – 1989
No, I didn't just start listening to this because I live under a rock. I've been listening to this album since it came out. I really like Taylor and her music, this album is very different from her previous work, but it's still amazing.

Other songs I've been listening to a lot lately:
Indila - Dernière Danse
Lily Allen - Air Balloon
Maroon 5 - Maps
Sia - Buttons
Sia - Elastic Hear (feat. The Weeknd & Diplo)
Sia - You've Changed
Skindred - Nobody
Skindred - Alright
Stromae - Alors on Danse
Stromae - Tous les Mêmes
Tan Biónica - Ciudad Mágica
Vance Joy - Riptide

TV

Miranda
Omg... Why aren't there more episodes of thiiiss?? Miranda is amazing! I was just channel surfing and found this show. At first I was all "Well, this is kind of ridiculous" but oh boy is it fun! It follows the story of Miranda, a 34-year-old woman who often gets mistaken for a man, has never been involved in a romantic relationship and has a great talent for making everyday life situations as awkward as can be.

It is a silly show all right. But it's got a certain charm that makes you love it and laugh non stop. It's British humor at its finest.

Outlander
Well, obviously :). If you follow me, you know how much I love Outlander.

Game of Thrones
Not much explaining to do haha.

Apps & Games
Calm
I like to do yoga and meditate. I've realized how much of a difference just 10 minutes a day of yoga or meditation can make to reduce stress and make your mind and body feel way better. This app guides you through meditation while listening to relaxing sounds, like rain or singing birds. I really love it and recommend it if you're looking to relax a bit.

Stop, Breathe & Think
Another meditation app! :) This one's really cool, I'd recommend it to beginners too, since it helps you get started. It's got nice things like stickers for achievements and so many features to choose from! You can use adjectives to let the app know how you're feeling and it'll recommend different activities you can do to help you with that. It also makes some kind of profile with your information, like the adjectives you've used the most and for how many days straight you've been meditating. It's amazing! :3

Sleepy Wings
This game is adorable. It's really well made and I love the concept, you just have to connect the cutest little birds to make chains, sometimes there are obstacles that make it a little bit more interesting. The only downside to this is that it uses SO much phone battery. Why?? D:

Websites
Codecademy
I also included this in my previous Monthly Favorites, but it's just that I really like this website. A few weeks ago I had to make a project using Ruby, I had never used that language before. Just a couple of nights practicing with Codecademy here and I could already start working on this project. They also released an AngularJS tutorial recently, just in time for a new project I have where I need to use this :)

MakeUp
Wet n Wild Color Icon Collection Eyeshadow Trio, Walking On Eggshells 380B - .12 oz

Wet n Wild - Walking On Eggshells (Eyeshadow Trio)
This eyeshadow trio is great for everyday. I've been using it a lot lately, it's all you need for a simple eye makeup look.

I hope you liked my favorites list! :)

Thank you for reading! Bye-Bye!

  4. I used to use calm a lot! It's annoying because I don't really have time to fit it into my schedule at the moment, but maybe soon I'll try to make time for meditating.
