Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016)

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is finally here!! And it's AMAZING!

Who else is excited?! Who else feels like they've been waiting forever?! Who else watched this movie or even the trailer and was kinda, almost, definitely tearing up when the Warner Bros. logo appeared on the screen??!!

I'm just so happy.

I seriously love J.K. Rowling for still giving us things, I don't want this to ever end.

I'm going to apologize in advance for this post, it's just going to be all over the place and weird and like I'm just talking nonsense and saying things, but bear with me here, I'm excited, and nothing I say will do this movie justice.

We kids who grew up with Harry Potter are all grown up now, and this movie does seem to be aimed to an older audience. I mean, these are not children going to school, these are grown-ups having jobs and all. And not only that, but one of these people we're talking about is the Newt Scamander! How awesome is that!!

I really liked the whole gang. Tina's sister, Queenie, is adorable (and her wardrobe is amazing, can I please have it?) and Jacob is a really nice man, although I will admit I had my doubts about Tina at first, but I guess everything works out in the end. And Scamander... Well, he is perfect. I'm so glad Eddie Redmayne was cast to play him, this actor never disappoints.

All the creatures included in this were awesome and oh so beautiful, I enjoyed getting to know about them all and their singularities so much. And it was endearing, and sometimes even very funny, to see Scamander interact with them. He's a genius all right. I really like that they include information about his past, and how misunderstood he was, before he became the person we know him to be in the Harry Potter world many years later.

And that suitcase though! THAT SUITCASE! How I wish such a place existed, with all those amazing animals just walking around... And I gotta say, fitting everything you need in such a small thing and being able to carry it around is incredibly useful...

I also enjoyed seeing how different things were for witches and wizards back then, and their relationship with muggles (well, no-majes). And it was very interesting to know that even rules in their world were different from the ones in the UK. And women could have big jobs! That made me feel just great, wizards always one step ahead of muggles...

Oh and hearing about all these people we know, like Albus Dumbledore, the Lestrange family and Grindelwald is really exciting! But this movie is completely understandable even if you don't know much about the Harry Potter world.

Now, I wanted to stay away from anything relating to this movie, because I didn't want to be spoiled, so, when Johnny Depp made his appearance, I think I might have lost it just a little bit... I'm a fan of his work, and seeing the guy in J.K. Rowling's world is just too good.

I am so happy this movie was made into a series now, and we have new movies to look forward to!! So... who's excited for 2018?

Too soon?

Anyway, now to finish things up, I'm going to share with you my Ilvermorny house according to Pottermore, because I obviously need to know my North-american house!

Aaaand... I'm in Pukwudgie!!

As shared on Pottermore, Pukwudgie is sometimes considered to represent the heart of a witch or wizard, and it is said to favor healers.

That sounds nice! I really didn't have a preference there and didn't know which house I would like to be in, to be honest. Hopefully we meet more people from that school in the next movies and find out more about its houses.

In case you wanted to know my Hogwarts house, well I'm a Ravenclaw at heart :)

I hope you enjoyed this failed attempt to do a coherent post about Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and that you love the movie just as much as I do!

Thank you for reading! ♥
