Life. Death. Poison Ivy has power over both. But can she keep her friends and hold down a regular job at the same time? As Dr. Pamela Isley, she joins the prestigious plant sciences department at Gotham Botanical Gardens, but things quickly get complicated when a fellow scientist is murdered and it looks like the work of Ivy. Don’t miss the start of this new 6-issue miniseries!

**I received a free eARC from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review**

In this series, Poison Ivy gets a new job at the Gotham Botanical Gardens thanks to her new mentor Luisa Cruz.

We see her struggling trying to be a "normal" person, which she finds very difficult to do, since she doesn't feel like one. She's part human, part plant. A loner who is better off being by herself. Although she wouldn't mind having someone like her around.

Her good friend Harley Quinn also makes an appearance and gives us a little bit of action picking up a fight with some perverts.

I love Harley, I hope we get to see more of her in this new series. And both girls looked amazing. The art and the color palette are very beautiful, the artists did a wonderful job.

There's not that much going on in this issue, but since it's just the first one in a mini-series, it was a great introduction. It also ends with a mysterious murder at Ivy's new workplace, and I can't wait to see what happens next :)

Have you read any comic books lately?

Thank you for reading! Bye-Bye!

  1. Poison Ivy has always been a villain I just loved so much! I think it is because I love her power so much as well. I don't know too much about Harley Quinn as well, so it would be brilliant to get to know her better seeing as she features so much.

    1. Well, I usually enjoy reading comic books featuring female main characters, maybe because I can relate to them more? Harley Quinn is pretty fun, and the good old Wonder Woman is always a good choice :) Neil Gaiman's Sandman is apparently very good, I actually own some issues but haven't read them yet though.
You can also check out the New 52 that DC created not long ago, it was a relaunch of their entire line of comic books, and the stories are pretty cool :D
