Cinderella (2015) + Frozen Fever

I had been waiting for SO long for this movie to come out. Then it came out and it took me a lot of time to finally watch it... Typical. But still, I did watch it and wrote my review, and I'm sorry I'm posting this only now.

Don't worry, I'll try to keep this spoiler-free (we all know Cinderella, but of course changes are usually made in adaptations).

I just want to start by saying that I'm a HUGE Disney fan, especially when it comes to the princesses. I'll always love them, no matter how old I am. I get so emotional when I watch one of these movies and I just feel like melting to tears because of all my excitement (although, like the big girl I am, I try very hard to keep those tears from coming, or I'd be crying while watching any Disney movie ever made, nonstop). I CAN'T HELP IT, THEY'RE BEAUTIFUL.

I'm a freaking Disney Princess.

Or Queen.

Soo, I remember I got really excited when I saw the cast, I mean it was really well done!! And so many great actors we already know! I think they all did a great job, especially since it's a fairy tale, where the acting can usually be a little bit more exaggerated.

Another thing I really loved were the costumes. Cinderella's dress was beautiful. Although I saw there was some controversy on Lily James' tiny waist, it is said it was not digitally altered but that she may have gone through a strict diet to fit into that corset (neither one of those two reasons is exactly right though). I didn't feel like mentioning such serious topics while in my magical zone, but this seemed important. I don't really know how to feel about it, but I do remember realizing how tiny her waist looked in the movie and wondering if it was real.

Now, one of the best parts of the movie is, of course, when the fairy godmother appears and starts doing all her crazy magic. I just love Helena Bonham Carter. I do. And all the special effects were really nice, the whole transformation with the animals and the pumpkin was amazing.

Also, I think this is the first time I like Cinderella's stepsisters, I couldn't even believe one of them was the adorable Daisy from Downton Abbey. And omg can this girl please share with us how she keeps looking so very young?! She's just one of those people who stay young forever.

I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. I just realized I've just been talking about everything about the movie that I liked and maybe it's not making that much sense. But I think that's just because of my excitement, please forgive me.

Oh! Oh! I definitely loved how we got to see more of the prince. In the original Disney classic we don't get to know him very well, not even in the sequels, and I really liked him in this movie, he was very sweet.

So if you haven't watched this, I really recommend it. It's sweet, it's fun, it's entertaining. Loved it.

Frozen Fever

One of the best things about going to see Cinderella was that it included the Frozen Fever short film before the movie... AND HAVE YOU ANY IDEA HOW MUCH I LOVE FROZEN AND ELSA?? *tries to calm down*

This was as good as I hoped it would be.

In Frozen Fever it's Anna's birthday, and Elsa wants her to have the best party ever! So she tries really hard to make it all perfect, but poor little Elsa gets a cold. Yes, Elsa gets a cold. Elsa. Elsa, the-cold-never-bothered-me-anyway Elsa... And it's freaking adorable.

When Elsa sneezes, these mini snowmen appear. UGH HOW CUTE IS THAT OMFG.

I can't say much about this without spoiling it for you since it's a short film, so just go watch it :)

I loved the fact that Elsa had a green dress in this by the way, she looked so very pretty T.T I hope we get to see her in a pink dress, I need to see it happen. Elsa needs a pink dress.

I hope you enjoyed reading this. I apologize again for posting this so late, I bet most of you already watched the movie when it just came out. If that's the case, did you like it? What did you think about Frozen Fever?

Thank you for reading! Bye-Bye!

  5. Ahaha the Frozen Fever was funny and I can see why so many people would come to see just that part of the movie! I liked the Cinderella and it was good, and I also really loved the costumes. But it wasn't amazing for me and I expected something more although I don't even know what...
